My love for the computer as a tool to express myself and create art has come hand in hand (literally and figuratively) with my graphic design training. I would not be able to make art without first knowing how to use the design programs.

I hold a BFA degree in Graphic Design, and have been in the design industry for 18 years. I am well seasoned at this stage in my career and comfortable in designing for any media type – print or digital.

I love to solve problems both visually and systematically. I definitely get excited about unique projects, helping people and clients who appreciate good design with the skills I possess. My intentions for any project focus primarily on producing creative design solutions for audiences, users, and specific goals clients may have.

Before any project I like to identify the audience, problems to solve, and needs of the client as well as their users. I usually do research first and tend to sketch out my ideas before designing on the computer. My approach to projects is more of an integrated process which involves providing options for my clients and then collaboratively finding what we like within the options, and then simplifying them down until we have a final design. I always involve the client in each round of design changes, and make it a point to address any concerns about feedback or ideas which might produce undesirable results or increase costs.

I’m happy to communicate by phone, email, txt, or video chat. In fact I don’t charge for phone calls when we discuss projects because it’s important to me to find ways to give back to my clients.
